How do I get started?

You can start using QAS Pro On Demand straight away for all internal deployments and for external deployments that use an annual licence.

For external deployments that are on a per-click license you should ensure that you have clicks applied to your account.

You can view your active credits under My Account and following the link to Licenses. Credits are displayed per-deployment and per-country.

If you have no credits please speak to your Experian QAS account manager.

 

How do I change my password or security question?

Please navigate to the My account > Login details page. Enter your old password, new password and confirm your new password. You can also change your security question and answer on the same page.

If you have any problems resetting your password, please email support@ondemand.qas.com

 

What happens if I forget my password?

On the Login page, please click on the Forgotten your password? link. Enter your email address and click Submit. You will then be sent an email with a link to the Password Reset Page. Enter the answer to your security question and you will then be able to reset your password.

What data does QAS Pro On Demand use and where does it come from?

QAS Pro On Demand uses numerous different datasets. An example is the GBR Address Dataset. The Postal Address File (PAF) is compiled, updated and supplied by Royal Mail. QAS receives new PAF data from Royal Mail on a monthly basis. In addition to cleaning, reformatting and compressing the PAF, QAS also enhances the data supplied from Royal Mail.

Full documentation on the data used by QAS Pro On Demand can be downloaded from the support site.

The data used by QAS Pro On Demand is updated depending on the country itself. AUS, DEU, IRL & NLD are updated quarterly, whilst FRA is updated bi-monthly and USA is updated monthly.

 

How do I log out of my account?

Click on the Log out option at the top right of any QAS Pro On Demand page.

 

What are deployments and what is their role within QAS Pro On Demand?

Once logged in to the QAS Pro On Demand portal you should click into the My Account > Web Services section. Here you will be able to see your deployments, which are your web service accounts for the Pro On Demand product.

In the deployments screen you can set or reset the password associated with a particular web service username using the reset link provided. The deployment username and password are the credentials you will need to access the web service through the WSDL provided.

Why do I need to activate a deployment? How do I activate it?

Before you can use a deployment you must activate it. This includes accepting the Terms and Conditions and setting up a password for the deployment.

You can activate a deployment by going to My Account > Web Services. Any deployments requiring activation will be displayed with an Activate Deployment link. Click the link and follow the instructions to activate the deployment.

 

Which search engines are available to use with QAS Pro On Demand?

Currently the single line, typedown and verification engines are available to use with QAS Pro On Demand. Typedown is for internal deployments only. Single Line for external deployments is available with flattened picklists only.

 

Which layouts are available to display a captured address?

35 new layouts have been added to QAS Pro On Demand to use in conjunction with the newly added datasets, mentioned above.

The method "DoGetLayouts" allows the user to explore which layouts are available for any particular dataset.

Bespoke layouts will also be available soon.

 

Where can I download sample integration code?

QAS On Demand customers who wish to download support material including technical documentation and sample integration code can do so via the support site in the Pro On Demand section under Sample Code.

To download this material you are first required to register with the QAS support site. To do this click on the please register link once you have chosen which material to download. Please note that registration is free.

NOTE: you cannot download support material via the support site using your QAS Pro On Demand portal username and password.

 

What licensing options are available?

QAS Pro On Demand can be used on websites (external usage) or within an internal business application (internal usage). External deployments can be licensed on a per-click or annual license basis. Internal deployments are licensed on a per-seat basis.

 

Can I see a log of all the searches I have made?

Yes. To view your usage history you will need to log-in to your account and use the menu to navigate to the My account > Usage history page

Here you will have two options - View Daily Usage or View Recent Searches.

Using the View Daily Usage option, you will need to enter the range of dates for which you wish to retrieve the search history information. The information displayed will include the date of the search, total searches and the number of credits used if using an external per click licence. It is also possible to export this information to an Excel spreadsheet.

Alternatively, view details of searches you have recently made using the View Recent Searches link.
