Overview

This document provides a set of instructions for installing the QAS Mailsort V8.85 product update.  This product upgrade is required for all customers using QAS Mailsort V8.xx  with the Royal Mail Mailsort Database 2010 (Release 1).  It is advised that customers perform this product upgrade before installing the Mailsort 2010 Database update.

If you have already installed the Mailsort 2010 Database then please follow the instructions below and skip/ignore step 8.

Instructions

  1. Once logged in, please select the QAS Mailsort 08.85 update and click Download.

  2. Open the exe file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
     
  3. When asked for a Install Location, please select the folder/directory of your existing QAS Mailsort V8.xx install.


     
  4. In this example, the existing version is Mailsort verson 8.70 therefore the location is directed to the Mailsort v8.70 folder.


     
  5. Remove the added default "QASMSORT" folder name. This only needs to be saved in the main folder.


     
  6. The following message should appear. Click yes.


     
  7. Once installed, please restart the computer.
  8. You are now ready to install the Mailsort Database 2010 (Release 1) update.
     
  9. If you have installed the Mailsort Databases 2010 update before 27 September 2010 then the following warning message will appear upon opening QAS Mailsort. Click OK.


     
  10. At the bottom of the General Settings tab, please select the latest Mailsort and/or Walksort Tables to configure QAS Mailsort to use the latest Mailsort Database.
