How do I Install Batch API on Windows?

Run the installation program:

1. Insert the QAS Batch API CD into your CD-ROM drive.

2. Select Run... from the Start menu.

3. In the dialog box that appears, type d:\setup, where d is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive, and press Enter.

Once the installation program starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the API. When the program is installed, you are given the option to install the data. To ensure that all datasets are compatible, all data CDs for a country must be the same version, and should be installed at the same time. If you do not want to install the data immediately, uncheck the Install QAS Data check box and click the Finish button. The data can be installed separately by running the data installation program.

What Files do I need to run my Integration in Windows?

When you wish to run your integrated application, you should ensure that the following QAS files are in the same directory as the application executable:

qabwved.dll

country.ini

qaworld.ini

qabwved.044

qawserve.ini

qalicn.ini

qalcl.dat

How do I Install Batch API on UNIX?

The QAS Batch API CD contains both shared object and static library compiles of Batch. Copy the contents of the relevant folder from the CD to the location of your choice. The readme.txt on the CD lists the files required for each installation.

To install the data copy the relevant files off the data CD’s you have been provided. You will then need to edit the line InstalledData and DataMappings in the file QAWSERVE.ini to point to the folder you placed your data and have the relevant Data Mappings respectively. For more information on .ini file settings please see the QAS Batch API Guide which would have been sent to you with the product.
