This document contains notes on how to install Authenticate Pro Web, the certificate and the JSP and/or C#.NET sample pages.
To install and use the Authenticate JSP sample pages you will first need to install a Java Web Server. An example of an open source Java Web Server is Apache Tomcat. To download and install this please follow the instructions here http://tomcat.apache.org/
To install and use the C#.NET sample pages you will need IIS and .NET framework v2.0 or higher.
1) Place the Authenticate Pro Web installation disk into your CD drive.
2) Double-click setup.exe on the CD to run the install wizard.
3) On the “Select Components” page tick the option for "Program files" and choose which of the two forms of sample code you would like to install. If required, both can be installed (see below).

4) Select an appropriate install destination for the “Choose Destination Location” page.

5) Please choose an appropriate port number for the “Server Connection Details” page i.e. one that is not currently in use. Please note down which Server port number Authenticate will run on in e.g. 2021 in the example below:

An internal port is also required for the address capture functionality – please choose another unused port here.
6) If you are installing the JSP pages, please choose where the .war file should be installed, as seen below:

7) If you are installing the C#.NET pages, please choose where they should be installed to:

8) The final stage is to install the address data by ticking the “Install QAS Data” option on the finish screen. After you click finish you will be prompted for the appropriate Data CDs. Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the install.
9) You will also need to install a certificate – this will have been sent to the nominated contact via email, with the necessary password.
10) You should now be able to deploy and browse to the JSP pages in your Web Server.
Note - If you changed the port number from the default in step 6 you will need to edit the web.xml file for the JSP pages to reflect this. This file will be located in Authenticate page directory of your Web Server. The following line needs to be edited to contain the correct server name and port number:
<param-value>http://localhost:2021</param-value>
If you are using a UAT testing certificate you will need to edit the configuration file qawserve.ini (located in the Authenticate install directory) to reflect this. Please open this file and edit the following server address changing it from
AuthServerAddress=https://secure.e-series.uk.experian.com/e-series
to
AuthServerAddress=https://secure.uat.e-series.uk.experian.com/e-series
