How to resolve Rapid's error message: 'Could not locate ini file'

Summary

QAS Rapid uses a configuration file to store and load settings; this file is necessary for Rapid to initialize successfully. The configuration file is called qarapid.ini and should be located in the installation folder for Rapid.

The ‘could not locate ini file’ error appears if the ini file is not located in the installation folder or has been renamed to something other than qarapid.ini.

Solution

Locate the qarapid.ini and move it into the Rapid installation folder. If you cannot find qarapid.ini then you can locate the file using the windows search function (Start > Search). Run the application again.

If you are using Plug and Go and still cannot locate your Rapid configuration file, then please reinstall your Rapid software from the original CD. Note that all layout settings will be lost with the reinstall.
