How do I run Mailsort with an Excel file?

To run Mailsort from an Excel file (*.xls) use the “Registered ADO Source” Input File option. In the pop-up screen select “Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider” and then click “Next ”

Now select the Excel File by clicking on the ellipses.

Select Files of Type: All Files (*.*) and select the relevant Excel File.

After clicking “Open” the prompt is returned to the Data Link Properties window. Select the “All” Tab and highlight the “Extended Properties” field. Edit the value for this field and set it to “Excel 8.0”.

A sample of the database will be illustrated. This will confirm that Mailsort has accessed the input file successfully.
