How do I resolve the Pro Web errors -2458 and -4685 when I run the test harness

After Pro Web has been installed the Service needs to be started before running the test harness. If any alterations have been made to the qawserve.ini file then the service will need to be restarted before the changes will be effective. Failing to restart the service before running the test harness will result in one of the following messages being displayed:
-Full description of Errors:
-2458 : Connection was cancelled remotely
-4685 : Open Error: -4685 : Enable logging and check log file for details
Press the Enter key to exit ...

Error message appears when Test Harness is run before Service is started
To restart the service in Windows:
Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Services
Scroll down the list until you find the QuickAddress Pro Server, right click on it, and select Restart
When the Service is started the Test Harness can be run.
Note: By default the service startup setting is set to manual. By right-clicking on the service and selecting properties the Startup Type may be changed to Automatic if required.
For UNIX users the service is restarted by stopping and re-running the qaswvd executable.
If the error is still present after restarting the service, logging should be enabled by adding the following lines to either qawserve.ini or qaworld.ini:
LogErrors=True
LogFile=<path and filename of your choice e.g. error.log>
LogTrace=-3
If the log file is simply specified as a filename with no path, it will be created in the Pro Web application directory.
To create the log file, the service should be restarted once more. Launching the test harness again will create entries in the file that should indicate the cause of the error. Common causes are an incorrect server name or IP address, or use of a port that is already in use.
For further assistance with this, please send the log file to Experian QAS Technical Support.
