Summary

This document discusses how to increase the number of “clicks” available within Pro Web.

Solution

Windows Users
1. You are required to navigate to your administration console and select “Counter Administration”:

Note: This dialog allows you to view the name and value of each meter, and therefore the number of metered clicks remaining on the server.

2. The ‘counter id’ and counter ‘audit code’ must then be sent to clicks@qas.com

3. Experian QAS will use the information you provide to generate an ‘update code’. The person who made the original order for the clicks will then be sent the ‘update code’ via email which needs to be applied here on the admin console:

4. The value of the relevant meter(s) will increase accordingly.

5. Finally once you add your clicks if you require this to be split with another machine you can contact uk.support@qas.com with your requirements and the support team can help at this stage.

UNIX Users:

1. You are required to run the following commands in your unix installation directory:

./wvmgmtd counterinforead SERVER:PORT

2. The counter id and counter audit code displayed must then be sent to clicks@qas.com

3. Experian QAS will use the information you provide to generate an ‘update code’. The person who made the original order for the clicks will then be sent the ‘update code’ via email which needs to be applied through running the following the command:

./wvmgmtd counterupdate QATCPIP:Server:Port UPDATECODE

4. You can check the update has been applied and new clicks are present through running:

./wvmgmtd meterslistread SERVER:PORT

5. Finally once you add your clicks if you require this to be split with another machine you can contact uk.support@qas.com with your requirements and the support team can help at this stage.

Other Important Information

If an error is returned, you should check the following:

• That you have not already applied the update code to the meter(s);

• That the counter ID which you supplied to Experian QAS was for the same server that you are trying to apply the update code to.

• If you have any further problems contact uk.support@qas.com
